Transmission Electron Aberration-Corrected Microscope
The TEAM Project

To maximize the impact on the new Department of Energy – Basic Energy Sciences funded Nanoscale Science Research Centers, the TEAM instrument is scheduled to be fully operational in 2009 and available as part of the National Center for Electron Microscopy User Facility at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in Berkeley, California.

Even before that, in 2008, a double-corrected microscope with TEAM-like performance will be made available as a user facility until delivery of the final TEAM instrument.

The National Center for Electron Microscopy is embedded in the Berkeley Lab nanocampus with easy access to the Advanced Light Source, Molecular Foundry, National Energy Research Scientific Computing facilities as well as the planned HELIOS facility. It is also adjacent to the Berkeley campus of the University of California.
