About the NCEM User Association (NCEM-UA)
The purpose of
the NCEM-UA is to provide an organized framework for the interaction between
those who use the NCEM at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) for
their research and the NCEM management, as well as to provide a channel for
user communication with other organizations, such as the National User Facility
Organization (NUFO), and, on suitable occasions, with federal agencies. The
NCEM UA will be in a position to make known to the NCEM management the needs
and desires of NCEM users regarding operating policy, use of the NCEM, user
support, and other relevant issues of concern to those engaged in research at
this facility.
Membership is
open to all those who have submitted a successful research proposal to NCEM,
and is to include anyone named as a collaborator on a proposal. To maintain an
active membership in the NCEM-UA, an active NCEM research project or service on
the NCEM Users' Executive Committee is required.
